On July 3, 2023, was held a meeting of the Scientific-Methodical Council of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting was opened with opening remarks by the Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Scientific-Methodical Council of the Center, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Parviz Muhammadzoda. According to the agenda, the following issues were discussed at the meeting:
- Report on the results of research activities of the departments of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first half of 2023.
- Discussion of current issues.
Reports on the activities of the Center’s Departments in the first half of 2023 were made by: Head of the Department for the Study of Regional Security Issues, Candidate of Historical Sciences Saihomid Sharifzoda on the topic of the Department’s research work – “Identification and forecasting of internal and external risks and threats to national and regional security in modern world”, head of the Social Analysis Department, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Abdurahmon Qurbonov on the topic of the Department’s research work – “The role of social security in ensuring the sustainable development of Tajik society”, head of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of Domestic Policy Alinazar Ashurov on the topic of the Department’s research work – “Technology for maintaining political stability and protecting the national interests of the Republic of Tajikistan”, head of the Department for the Analysis of Macroeconomic Issues, Candidate of Economic Sciences Oraz Murtazoev on the topic of the Department’s research work — “Tasks related to ensuring the economic security of the Republic of Tajikistan in a market economy”, head of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of Foreign Policy Maruf Abdujabborov on the topic of the Department’s research work — “Priority areas of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan at a new stage in the development of national statehood”, head of the Department for Research on Entrepreneurship and Private Sector Development Amin Odinaev on the topic of the Department’s research work – “Issues of tax incentives in the development of innovative entrepreneurship”, head of the Department of Sectoral Research Imomnazar Karimiyon on the topic of the Department’s research work — “Formation and development of the agro-industrial complex as an integral part of the industrialization of the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan”, head of the Department of Information Supply Zubaydullo Davlatov with a brief report on the activities of the Department for the first half of the year.
At the meeting it was emphasized that information reports on the results of seminars, conferences, round tables and other scientific events of the Center are widely covered in the state mass media and on the virtual space. At the same time, employees of the Center, presenting scientific reports, took an active part in conferences, seminars, round tables organized by various national and international organizations.
It is worth noting that in the first half of 2023 the Center held 1 scientific-consulting seminar, 10 round tables, 3 of which were online and 2 international conferences, of which 1 online, 1 forum, 5 scientific conferences.
During the reporting period, 435 different scientific articles, important news and reports were posted on the Center’s website, including 243 articles in Tajik, 126 articles in Russian and 66 articles in English. In the first six months of 2023, more than 2 million readers visited the Center’s website and read its materials.
The Center’s staff also opened special pages on the social network Facebook, called «Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan» and «Strateg», which also broadcasts all the activities of the Center. The social page «Strateg» is subscribed by 749 readers, and «Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan» by 631 readers.
During the six months of this year, the Center’s staff wrote more than 62 reviews of theses and articles. In the first half of 2023, the total number of articles published by Center staff in state and non-state press is 91.
The Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Khayriddin Usmonzoda, given the importance and value of the research work carried out by the above-mentioned departments, pointed out shortcomings and gave some useful recommendations for improving activities.
Members of the Scientific and Methodological Council expressed useful thoughts regarding the scientific activities of the Center in the first half of 2023. The plan of research activities for the second half of 2023 was also discussed.
The meeting of the Scientific-Methodical Council of the Center was summarized and concluded by Parviz Muhammadzoda, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Scientific-Methodical Council of the Center.
The meeting was held in a spirit of sincerity, mutual understanding, and constructive dialogue.
